Technical Solutions Linked to Paving Problems
Over the years, Groupe Lefebvre MRP Inc. has become a leader in Quebec with regards to road-network preventive maintenance. Our advanced expertise in the repair and waterproofing of concrete and asphalt pavements is due, in large part, to the superior quality of our work and the efficiency of our labour force.
Crack Sealants
The use of crack sealants as a preventive measure is a sound economical choice. Our products meet the most stringent of government norms and standards.
Crack sealants prolong the lifespan of pavement and curtail the formation of ruts and potholes.
Geomembrane Materials for Cracks and Joints
 |
Our innovative processes enable us to increase roadway longevity. We install specially-designed geomembranes which allow for stress distribution through flexural, tensile and compression strength while preventing the propagation of cracks in the surface course. |
Joint Sealants
(For control or expansion joints between 6mm to 25mm)
Groupe Lefebvre is one of the few Quebec firms specializing in joint sealants for deck surfaces and concrete roadways. This seal is movement-resistant and impedes seepage. Hot or cold-applied liquid sealants are used as required, along with pre-formed filler materials which are inserted into the joint. This process is highly effective at airports as it is extremely resistant to glycol and jet fuel. |
Geomembrane Linings
The application of geomembrane liners prior to asphalt paving is a relatively new technique which increases the useful life of pavement. The system acts on the interface friction between the base layers and reduces the formation of cracks and fissures. While serving as a practical solution for cracked pavement, the application of a geomembrane lining also ensures a watertight barrier. The Ministry of Transport of Quebec, as well as a number of cities, have taken advantage of this highly efficient method.
Pavement Sealants
This technique protects pavement against oxidization and roadway spills of oil, gas or other solvents, in addition to improving its visual appearance. We apply acrylic, epoxy and
pitch-based sealants to commercial parking facilities, service stations and airport surfaces.
Surface Preparation by Shot Blasting (Blastrac)
The shot-blasting method is environmentally friendly as the propelled metal abrasives are recycled and dust particles recovered. In addition, when using the Blastrac and Turbo-blast industrial equipment, this technique erases road markings, eliminates cement laitance, and also macro-texturizes cement in order to increase surface roughness.
